Resumen
This paper will analyze the notion of dignity as a status raised by Jeremy Waldron and its importance in the Chilean constitutional debate, focusing on labour law. Dignity is enshrined in most of the world's constitutions, and the importance of this notion is not without criticism, given its ambivalence. However, Waldron's notion makes it possible to specify a minimal meaning relevant in all contemporary democracy, and that should guide the current constitutional process in Chile.
