Resumen
This article analyzes the cultural and architectural resilience of Andean temples in the Arica Highlands (18th-19th centuries), built in a context of high seismic activity and profound sociopolitical transformation. It highlights the functional, aesthetic, and technological fusion between pre-Hispanic and European traditions and emphasizes the role of local networks of builders and artists who preserved this material and symbolic heritage, key to the history of Andean art.
