Resumen
The present paper carries out a review of Ortega y Gasset's complex and changing ideas of theory and practice. After the early years during which theory held a predominant position, as Ortega's thought entered into a more mature phase in the 1930s -and especially after his thorough treatment of technique- the practical dimension rose to prominence. We will defend the view that Ortega's proposal to understand radical reality as quehacer (taskto- do) constitutes an attempt to overcome this problem.
