La ontología del mundo material de Tomás de Aquino según Jeffrey E. Brower

The article critically analyzes the scheme of the book Aquinas's Ontology of the Material World. Change, Hylomorphism, and Material Objects by Jeffrey E. Brower. It summarizes the main subjects of the work but, principally, it evaluates the core proposal, consisting in estabishing a dialogue between Aquinas' ideas about the material world and the conceptions of contemporary ontology. It shows that, in spite of the author's aim, he does not achive his goal as he looks to force the sense of some key concepts of Aquinas' philosophy. It concludes that this situation is a consequence of subsuming those concepts within the radically different epistemological framework of contemporary ontology.
