Resumen
In this article we will analyze Chilean labor judgments of fundamental rights, trying to unravel whether the notion of dignity has played a relevant role and in what way this has occurred. For this purpose, all fundamental labor rights cases of 2018 in the city of Santiago de Chile have been reviewed. While it can be argued that dignity constitutes a reinforcing argument in the judgments, our hypothesis is that, in certain cases, the notion of dignity is key to the court’s central narrative.
