EN TORNO A LA MATERIALIDAD DE LAS IMÁGENES Y SUS SATURACIONES AFECTIVAS*

This paper proposes a contribution to the discussion on contemporary study of images, problematizing the potency they contain around their material conditions. From a theoretical perspective, we seek to show that the omission of the material composition of the images, typical of contemporary visual regimes, implies a lack of knowledge of their dynamic processes, relational and open powers, thereby minimizing their affective and imaginative capacity. In contrast to the above, we will refer to the need to undertake an analysis that considers images as bodies that share spaces with other bodies, both human and nonhuman, thus enabling imaginary powers of thought around the possible contingent assemblies of those who participate.
