Research output: Contribution to journal › Article › peer-review

Abstract

Published during the Covid-19 pandemic, La voz de la casa. Ejercicios para vivir el confinamiento (2021), by Rosabetty Muñoz, is a text that describes a series of activities that can be done while in confinement. This article proposes that such exercises seek to redefine the everyday life of the home through practices characterized by the slow experience of mobility in confinement. The playful and creative aspect of the exercises, on the one hand, investigates the vibrant dimension of the home’s materiality to create new relationships within that spacetime. On the other hand, language is a practice that produces the idea of a ritual that modifies the relationships with the domestic space and strengthens a sense of community during the pandemic.
