Abstract

Within the framework of the needs to integrate bioethics into organizations, a scientometric analysis is carried out, with the aim of describing the bibliometric indicators of the scientific development of this field, from the first records of the corresponding Web of Science online database. to the year 1975, until the year 2022, identifying authors, countries, publications, citations, journals, and institutions, in conclusive descriptive research. The results allowed us to show a growing linear development of publications related to the fields of governance, ethics, scientific research, cultural variables related to bioethics, the relationship between doctor and patient, informed consent, and clinical practices. The main contribution of this research is to synthesize knowledge and offer an updated discussion on bioethics research.
