Abstract

The flexible electronic devices are in continuous demand and aspire scientific community to develop novel electroactive materials for various energy conversion/storage devices. Modified ZnO with polyaniline integrated in to the poly(vinylidene fluoride) matrix to develop flexible nanocomposites. The structural properties of the modified ZnO was investigated using X-ray diffraction and then correlated with dark field transmission electron microscopy. Further, a flexible ZnO based nanocomposite is used to fabricate pressure sensing device. The composite exhibits significant change in capacitance under the applied load. The observed pressure sensing response in the flexible nanocomposite enable the nanocomposites for electromechanical applications.
