Abstract
A nickel-zinc ferrite powder of composition Ni0.8Zn 0.2Fe2O4 was synthesized by microwave-assisted flash combustion technique. The uniaxially pressed samples were sintered at various sintering temperatures such as 1150, 1250 and 1350°C. The physical properties such as bulk density and porosity were studied. The frequency dependence of the dielectric properties such as dielectric constant, ε′, and dielectric loss factor, tanδ, were also studied. These results were compared with the properties of ferrites prepared by conventionally heated flash combustion technique in normal heating.
