N2 - Dementia is a growing global health challenge that disproportionately affects low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), collectively referred to here, for the purposes of our book, as the ‘majority world.’ Despite this burden, research, diagnostics and interventions in dementia are largely shaped by high-income countries (HICs), often overlooking the socio-cultural, economic and healthcare contexts of LMICs. Addressing this gap requires a comprehensive, context-sensitive approach.
