Abstract

The room temperature direct current (DC) resistivity of Ni1-xZnxFe2O4 (x=0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5) prepared by the non-conventional flash combustion and citrate-gel decomposition techniques have been studied. The high resistivity (ρdc) of the order of 109 Ω cm is obtained and it has been found that there is reduction in resistivity with increase in zinc content and sintering temperature. The high resistivity values observed in the present work confirm that the dielectric constant of the samples should be low.
