Abstract
This essay interrogates the writings practices Draft for a Dictionary of Lovers (1976), by Monique Wittig and Sande Zeig; Babel bárbara (1991), by Cristina Peri Rossi; and Draft for an Alphabet of Disrespect (2021), by Vir Cano. Our aim is to explore the expressive and inventive potential of drafts from the perspective of their replacements, couplings, and possible connections. In this sense, we propose to move from identity-based readings toward compositional operations that occur between semiotic-material planes, to speculatively test what we call here an draft erotism, as a processual unfolding of desiring multiplicities.
