Abstract

We delve into the dynamic relationship between memory paradigms and the subjective experience of recall. We challenge the objectivist view that memory functions solely as a storage and retrieval system, proposing a more active and nuanced perspective. Additionally, we critically assess the comparison of reaction times in accurate recall across different diachronic phases of recalled subjective experience, shedding light on the complexities involved in integrating third and first-person data. We emphasize the need for an enactive understanding of memory and the potential implications for future research.
