Research Interests
My research focuses on the political economy of development and comparative political behavior, with a regional specialization in Latin America. In my work, I use a mixed methods approach combining in-depth interviews, archival work, and statistical analysis of both experimental and observational data to study the use of political disinformation in developing democracies, the effect of protest events on voter turnout and preference, and campaign strategies in non-party democracies. I am currently working on a book project focused on the role of social organizations during electoral campaigns.
