Paula is a Metallurgical Engineer and PhD in Engineering from the Universdad de Santiago de Chile. After her doctorate, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California Davis UCD, and later, she was a researcher and professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, institution where also she was the director of the research office for 5 years, developing skills in the management and administration of research. Her research topics have been broad, beginning with physical metallurgy to materials science and materials procesing. In recent years, she has been dedicated to the development of sustainable materials.
