Personal profile

Research Interests

Her current research focuses on Andean tectonics, structural geology, and analogue modeling of crustal deformation, with increasing emphasis on understanding natural processes across different spatial and temporal scales. She is currently Principal Investigator of the 2026 FONDECYT Iniciación project, “Comprehensive Analogue Modeling of Tectonic-Driven Landslides: A Contribution to Risk Management in Active Fault Zones.” The project integrates remote sensing (satellite imagery and drone-based photogrammetry), geological mapping, physical analogue modeling, and Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) to investigate tectonically driven landslides and contribute to risk assessment and management in active fault zones.
