My general field of research involves understanding human and financial behavior through large amounts of data and the patterns and properties of certain collective phenomena from a statistical physics and machine learning algorithms perspective. An active area of current research is the possibility of detecting regime shifts or tipping points in social and financial systems using unsupervised learning.
