Research Interests

Mauricio Valle is a Civil Engineer in Electronics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the same university and a PhD in Administration from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. Prior to his arrival at UAI, he worked as a professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universidad Finis Terrae. He has participated in several interdisciplinary groups to analyze consumer behavior in the retail industry, staff turnover in call centers and modeling of mining exploration activities through machine learning. His research interests focus on the application of machine learning algorithms and physical models to understand human behavior and propose solutions to business problems and complex systems.
