Research Interests

My research areas are focused in the field of economic development, economics of education, labor and human development. Among the research agendas in progress is the study of adolescent risk behaviors, including pregnancy and its effects on the education of mothers and fathers. I also have an agenda focused on child development and how it relates to parental mental health, as well as the role that parenting styles have on child development, and an agenda that studies different effects of the full-day school policy on students and their families.
