Research Interests

My research area focuses on understanding the brain and cognitive processes that underlie social interaction and decision making in complex scenarios. Specifically, I am interested in understanding what are the personal and external factors that make a person decide to help and cooperate with others in uncertain scenarios. For this, I model the evaluation of alternatives in decision making by identifying those mechanisms that facilitate social behavior, using neuroimaging methods (fMRI, EEG), behavioral paradigms and computational modeling of decision making.
