My work approaches from an interdisciplinary perspective the musical practices during the colonial period in Spanish America, linking them with problems related to social and cultural aspects of the Spanish American colonial past, such as the mobilities and circulations of people, goods and knowledge, the dynamics of miscegenation, the forms of labor and colonial categories.
