Personal profile

Research Interests

I am a physical therapist, psychologist, and doctor of philosophy. My lines of research are focused on the areas of clinical neuroscience and cognitive sciences. My research interest lies in the field of embodied cognition, embodied emotion, and the enactive approach. My research aims to understand the subjective and objective attributes of the experience by drawing primarily on enactivist and experimental phenomenological approaches. I develop experimental designs that integrate the neurobiological response (EEG, EKG, GSR, force platform) and the subjective experience (phenomenological consciousness). In implementing the qualitative design, I use different techniques both for data collection (micro-phenomenological interview, phenomenological interview, training program) and its subsequent analysis (microfenomenological analysis, Giorgi´s analysis, Moustakas´s analysis). I develop these lines of research both in healthy and neurodegenerative populations.
