Research Interests
Her main area of research is historical linguistics, especially the study of processes of grammaticalization, lexicalization and pragmatization. Currently, she is focused on the diachronic study of the Chilean differential lexicon and is part of the team of editors of the Real Academia Española working on the historical dictionary of the Spanish language.
